Birkfest is the brainchild of Andy Birks: butcher, musician and father to Ella, a wonderful young lady with special needs. A music festival fund raiser like no other, Birkfest features top local bands and is headlined by the Acoustic Angels. 

Everybody involved gives their time for free: the musicians, the stage builders, the sound engineers. Birkfest also features a gobsmacking, wallet-emptying charity auction. Birkfest has raised thousands of pounds for charity. Fairplay was honoured to be the principal beneficiary in 2015 and delighted that Andy chose them again for Birkfest 2017 & 2019. The money raised makes an incredible contribution to the services they can offer the children and young adults. 

Andy Birks say: "It’s more like the garden party of your dreams than a festival’. ‘A huge group of friends getting together to have a great time and helping an amazing charity at the same time. There’s great food and drink and the only stipulation is that you come with an open heart and an open wallet." 

Again, this is another amazing event we have attended to show our support for Fairplay.
